Out with the Fall

Yesterday we began taking down all my fall decor and replacing it with my Christmas decor. I had to evict a resident from my outdoor wreath. I MAY have overreacted a bit when Mr. Froggy jumped at me.
We turned on some music and had some fun with the kids.
Michael is reading a story book that I've had since a little girl.

Opening their new ornaments before bed time.
Joanna LOVED her Cinderella! I mean mouth-dropped-opened-and-gasped LOVED it.
She tries to say her name but says a bit of gibberish and then "ella". SO cute!
Josiah liked his spidey ornament too. :) It sings :)
I love the excitement on their faces! Its going to be so fun this Christmas season!

Happy Thanksgiving

Here is a little peak at our Thanksgiving. It was very laid back and relaxing. The kids played outside while the turkey was being fried.

My hubs did a great job on the turkey! :)

This child didn't make a noise until she had cleaned her entire plate of food.
 The kids table!

Ah! A clean kitchen all shut down for the night.
Thomas stayed the night with Josiah. They talked and giggled and talked some more. The main topic was Transformers and Robots.
This morning at breakfast they continued their talk of transformers with each other like no one else was in the room.
A little play dough fun before Tman got picked up.
I hope you all had a nice Thanksgiving and enjoyed making memories with your loved ones.

The Last of the Staycation

I woke up Friday morning and went to get breakfast started and found my honey on the couch. Apparently Josiah woke up early and Michael made his way to the couch to catch a few more minutes of sleep. :)
The MOST exciting event of the day was our new purchase!!! We have been talking about buying/making a window seat for the kitchen off and on for a few months. After researching, talking, shopping, and reading reviews we decided that our best option (to fit many needs) was to buy a table with chairs that would fit in the space that we had.

I have a weird love for L-shaped furniture and fell instantly in love with a table I found at Kmart. It has several of the features we were looking for. This is only the second piece of brand new furniture that Michael and I have ever bought ourselves. (The other was my L-shaped desk! Ha!)
We had an interesting time trying to buy it. Long story short: The in-store price was more than the online price and they would not price match it. So Hubby ordered it online from his phone, choose In Store Pick Up and then had to wait for it to process in their system. It was a little retarded that they wouldn't price match but oh well.

We have our table and LOVE IT!!!!!!
This is officially Mommy's quiet time spot. My Bible is able to be stored inside the seat so a certain 18 month old can not write in it anymore when no one is looking.
I've randomly found everyone just sitting at the table at various times over the weekend. I'm glad everyone likes it. :)
The extra table space has come in SO VERY HANDY already. Saturday night it was cookie central and today it is holding bags of groceries that are waiting to be put away. :)

For those who remember that little table I found at a yard sale that started this whole adventure, it will not be put to waste! Since it is technically a patio table it will work fabulously out on my porch (once that hole is fixed, of course. We have the cement, we are just waiting to get a small load of dirt brought in.)

Our staycation pretty much ended Saturday after Yard Saleing and a Doctor Who premier party. :) Its back to work for my hubby today and true to form I forgot to fix him a lunch. Again. Poor Guy.

Staycation Days 5 & 6

Wednesday was deemed my "pamper day". Michael took care of the kids all day long while I did all kinds of fun girl stuff.

They tromped through the woods.
They made their own English Muffin Pizzas for lunch. (Josiah put lettuce on top of his. YUCK!)

I got a pedicure and had lunch with a friend. Afterward, I went shopping for new crocs and finished the day off with a new hair cut. It was such a nice relaxing day for me.
Thursday we just kinda hung around the house in the morning. Michael took Josiah to the Lego Club at the Library and then we attempted to have our camping night. The rain interfered but we made the best of it.
We were supposed to roast hot dogs and marshmallows over the fire pit but ended up using the grill due to the rain.

 MMMMmmmmmmm I love a good s'mores.
Instead of camping out in the backyard the boys set up the tent in Josiah's room for the night.

Josiah still had fun even though he didn't get to camp out for real. :) Memories were made and that is the important part.

Staycation Day 4

Some wonderful friends of ours blessed us with tickets to the Orlando Science Center a while ago. They didn't expire until 2014 so we saved them for our vacation. :) We had SO MUCH FUN going on Tuesday!

I took a ton of pictures and TRIED to choose just a "few" to share with you all! ;)

The kids LOVED the sky walk over the road from the parking garage.
They really enjoyed the Sesame Street exhibit.

Then we moved on to the Science Park.

The NatureWorks was pretty cool with all the different animals they had on display. They had so many different animals that I have never seen or heard of before. Pretty cool!
And they had a beehive! Man! Bees keeping popping up in our adventures! J was so excited to see the hive.

Then we went to Kids Town. They had a great time with the water play area.

We took a break for lunch and then tried to play Operation. ha!
The Dino Digs exhibit was pretty nifty.
The kids got to dig for dino bones. It was a nice break for me the kids to just sit and play for a bit.

Their All Aboard area was so creative. Jman had fun pretending to fix the car.
 Joanna changed a tire.

Baby girl took a short thirty minute nap while Bubba played some games on his kindle during the ride home.

We had SO much fun! I loved that the kids were able to enjoy all of the exhibits and even Michael and I enjoyed it all! :) (I wish I could share more pics because there were so many neat exhibits to experience.)

It was a long day but filled with all kinds of fun and great memories!
