Our Sunday morning started at 4:30am with grabbing the last of our luggage and heading to the airport.
A big thanks goes to my Dad for waking up rather early in order to take us to the airport Sunday morning! Especially when our friend who will remain nameless wanted nothing to do with waking up THAT early, but his initials are MPPjr. (mwahaha) A another thanks to my mom for helping Dad get up and get moving with a pot of the evil smelling coffee that permeated the truck. (teehee)
The kids were AWESOME on the flights! Seriously. The flight from Florida to Seattle takes roughly 5 hrs. Joanna was a doll baby except when she gave me a really yucky diaper.
Josiah snacked, played with his new horses, colored, did some school worksheets, played with a puzzle, and then watched a movie.
We ate lunch when we got to Seattle, I lost my husband and kids for about 10 minutes, then we tried to board a flight to Denver (LOL) and then we made it to the right gate and settled in for our flight to Fairbanks which was just over 3 hrs.
Josiah took his nap.
Joanna was practically awake the whole time.
Josiah woke up and played with the touch pad until we landed. We had several people compliment the kids on how quiet and well-behaved they were. Praise God!
We got to Michael's parents house where we quickly changed clothes for church.
Josiah ate a sandwich and then we took off.
When we got to church I got to hold the 2nd sweetest little girl EVA! Ailey let me hold her for a few minutes while Sami held Joanna. Life was good sitting there with my best friend and our little girls, just catching up on "life".
After Church, Michael's family came over for cake and ice cream to celebrate my husbands 30th birthday.
Grandpa Case took these pictures for me since I was feeding Joanna at the time. :) Thank you, Grandpa!
We ate cake and ice cream and then pretty much excused ourselves to go crash.
What a long, wonderful day! More pictures to come! :)

The Big 3-0!
Happy almost birthday to my wonderful hubby! He turns thirty on Monday so we had a surprise celebration for him Friday night.
Josiah and I worked on some simple decorations that afternoon.
This was right before Michael came in the door from work. Josiah shouted out "Surprise! Happy Birthday!"
Joanna just laid there looking cute.
Josiah showed Daddy the papers that he colored.
Little Man was so excited!
I think I said something like "Happy Birthday, you're grilling your own dinner." :)
We had steak which he cooked to perfection and I made him some Texas Cheese Tots.
For dessert, a Publix cupcake!
He didn't have any presents to open because he picked out what he wanted a few weeks prior- a new laptop backpack. :)
Happy Birthday, Hun! We love you!!!!

Happy 3 Months!
Joanna turns three months old today! She weighs somewhere around 10 lbs, wears 0-3m clothes and size 1 diapers. And for the most part, sleeps through the night.
The last couple weeks she has begun to smile and laugh more and more!
Her favorite sleeping position is what I call her "Score" position since it looks like a
football referee with her hands above her head.
She is doing great at holding her head up for small periods of time.
She drools CONSTANTLY! Josiah hardly ever drooled so I never had much use for bibs. With Joanna, bibs are a must! Otherwise, her clothes would be a sopping wet mess.
Joanna and Josiah- They love each other. I love to see them interact and listen when Josiah talks or plays with Joanna. It makes my heart melt when I hear him say "Hi, baby girl!" or "There's my smile".
I am so blessed to be "Mommy" to these two precious kiddos!

Addicted
I am addicted to this trail mix.
Seriously. I can't get enough.
And I'm almost out of craisins and that makes me very sad.
It could be worse. I could be addicted to something horrible... like coffee... but I'm not... Praise Jesus! Nope, God is good! I'm addicted to trail mix... and sweet tea.
Okay, so I may have a slight addiction to McDonald's Caramel Frappe... but it isn't straight up coffee. And I can go days, even weeks between having one.
Sometimes.
So now that you know what a horrible person I am, what is that one food or drink you would say you are "addicted" to?

Last week our family went to enjoy Legoland for a couple hours. We had received a promotion card in the mail that enabled Michael and I to update our 'plus pass' to a 'premium pass' which just basically means we can go to the waterpark without having to pay anything. So now if we want to let Josiah go splash in the water we will only have to pay for his entrance! Yay!
I'll share a blessing- I have wanted a big rug for the living room for the last year, but they are insanely expensive for the ones that are pretty. And because we do not NEED a rug I haven't given it much thought other than the "Oh, wouldn't it be pretty!" Well, our friends were getting rid of their rug and asked us if we wanted it! Yippee! I think it is especially awesome that the colors in the rug match the walls and floors!
Josiah loves the rug too! He is so silly how he keeps laying on it. When He got up this morning, he came right in the living room and laid down right in the middle of it and had the biggest smile on his face. I'd probably do the same thing if no one was watching. :-D
This is Joanna's first ever ride... "The Island in the Sky".
And yes, the kids had a gallon of sun screen on... and wore hats. :)
J loves this firetruck-spraying-water-thing.
Josiah made me laugh so hard this day. He was in his room playing "Toy Story" which means he repeats every line he can remember from the movie as he plays with his toys. He brings Potato Head to me with Ham on top and says "Hey look! I'm Picasso!" Which is a line in one of the movies. It was just perfect timing and I thought it was hilarious.
I sent Josiah to Joanna's room to talk to her so she would stop screaming while I was getting her bottle ready. (Can I just stop and say I am so glad that Josiah is old enough to be such a big help sometimes?!) When I got it all ready I went to get her and J had gotten Joanna's big elephant and put it in the crib with her "because she told me she wanted to play". :)

We tried weighing Joanna this morning and she seems to be right at 10 pounds! She has also outgrown her newborn outfits! Josiah vs. Joanna
Josiah @ birth
and
Joanna @ birth
The only difference is my boy had a head full of hair and my girl is bald. How backwards is that?
***
Josiah @ 1 month
and
Joanna @ 1 month
Notice the same scowl?
***
Josiah @ 2 months
and
Joanna @ 2 months
I still can't believe Jman had all that hair and Joanna has none. I mean you really can't even see her eyebrows! Other than the hair they look very similar to each other... at least to me they do. :)There is so much I want to 'update' my bloggy readers on but considering this tiny post took two days to complete I will wait for another day (or week) when my brain is firing on more cylinders.
Until Next Time,
Joy
