Christmas Morn- Round 2

I got my Android lovin' hubby a shirt that he will be proud to wear. :)
The kids had a couple extra toys to open since they missed the family Christmas party due to sickness over the weekend.

Happy for her big girl cups.
 Jman and Power Blaster Buzz
 Vera Bradley = LOVE!

The boys also oped a couple Wii games! Toy Story for the little one and Lego Indiana Jones for the big guy.
We had such a nice relaxing morning just playing with the kids. It was so nice not to have to rush this year. We didn't have to be anywhere until late afternoon so we had a jammie day and just enjoyed having family time. It was SO nice!

Luke 2:13-14
And suddenly there was with the angel a multitude of the heavenly host praising God, and saying,
Glory to God in the highest, and on earth peace, good will toward men.

Luke 2:8-11
And there were in the same country shepherds abiding in the field, keeping watch over their flock by night.
And, lo, the angel of the Lord came upon them, and the glory of the Lord shone round about them: and they were sore afraid.
And the angel said unto them, Fear not: for, behold, I bring you good tidings of great joy, which shall be to all people.
For unto you is born this day in the city of David a Saviour, which is Christ the Lord.

'Twas The Night Before Christmas

Merry Christmas Eve!

Luke 1: 30-33
And the angel said unto her, Fear not, Mary: for thou hast found favour with God.
And, behold, thou shalt conceive in thy womb, and bring forth a son, and shalt call his name JESUS.
He shall be great, and shall be called the Son of the Highest: and the Lord God shall give unto him the throne of his father David:
And he shall reign over the house of Jacob for ever; and of his kingdom there shall be no end.

Gratituesday: Oh, Blessed Table Food!

When Josiah was a little guy he was an extremely picky eater when it came to texture. He liked most foods (except bananas, the crazy kid) but if it was not COMPLETELY pureed he would gag and throw up. I mean if it had the teeniest tiniest little lump of food... gag, cough, throw up.
He ate stage 2 baby food for the LONGEST time. I mean up until he was a year old. I tried making baby food but he would find the tiny spec of food and gag and I really hated the after effects of him gagging. So I eventually gave up and just bought jars of food.

Fast forward to Joanna. I remember the first time giving her food I was just praying she wouldn't be like Jman. The Lord is so gracious because Lady J is the easiest baby to feed! She is doing great with texture and has no problem with the lumps.
This is HUGE for us! I have been able to make baby food and the coolest thing is to mash up our food as we are eating and feed it to her. Tonight she got her first taste of broccoli casserole. She loved it!

Michael and I keep saying that it is so weird to be able to give her our food. Michael said "We're kinda like normal people." I wouldn't go THAT far, but it is nice to not have to constantly be on guard for little lumps of food.

I Corinthians 10:31
Whether therefore ye eat, or drink, or whatsoever ye do, do all to the glory of God.

Our Little Look Alikes

Joanna moved into her big girl car seat last month. After I washed all the padding, Michael put it back together and then put Joanna inside it to adjust the straps to fit her.

I immediately had a flash back of doing the same thing with Josiah.

Joanna- Nov 2012- 7 months old
Josiah- July 2009- 6 months old

They look so much alike! Minus Josiah having more hair than Joanna. :)

Psalm 77:11-12

I will remember the works of the LORD: surely I will remember thy wonders of old.
I will meditate also of all thy work, and talk of thy doings.

A Beautiful Miracle

Yesterday I got to watch the most beautiful thing happen! It still brings tears to my eyes remembering that I got to experience such a miracle take place. My dear friend Becky allowed me to witness little Corbett Eli enter the world.
 It was beautiful.
My heart is so full of thoughts that I can't sort them out to make sense. I will be forever grateful to Becky for allowing me to share such a beautiful moment of time with her.
Congratulations to my dear friend and her family!

I love this picture of Becky and Eli.

 I am one blessed "Auntie"!
Also, a big thanks goes to my mom for keeping my kiddos while I was at the hospital! :)
And do you see the head of hair this boy has?! He has more than Joanna! :(

Gratituesday: Enjoying The Ride!

Some days it is so easy to get overwhelmed by runny noses, crusted food on the floor, something growing in the diaper genie, or just simply trying to remember that there is a load of laundry needing to be taken out of the dryer.

I really enjoyed focusing on being thankful during November on the ole blog. No, I totally did not do every day. That just wasn't going to work for me, but I loved the days I was able to do it none the less. It helped me take my eyes off the fingerprints on the windows and thank God that I am so blessed to have two loveable munchkins. I am so blessed!

I liked it so much that I am going to do my best to link up every Tuesday with a Gratituesday post. I am going to keep my focus on what God has done for me that week in particular. I look forward to sharing with you how God is working in my life whether it's BIG or small. But truthfully, it is all BIG! :)

So this week,
I am thankful that through wonderful friends we were able to go spend the day at SeaWorld this past Saturday! There were four tickets available so we were able to invite one of Josiah's friends along. Best. Decision. Ever. They had a blast! Michael and I had so much fun watching and listening to the boys.
It was like a shot in the arm watching those two little boys run from place to place pointing, giggling, and just having the time of their life.
The little boy "awe" of seeing all the animals just warms my heart. "Did you see THAT?" "Look over here!" "C'mon lets go to the next one!" The excitement was catching.
God gave us so much in this life to enjoy.
I am thankful I for the special people in my life that God gave me to "enjoy the ride" with.

Enjoy the pics!
Mommy and baby Shamu were SOO cute!

My favorite thing of the day was watching the boys pet the sting rays.
I thought for sure the boys would be wiped out when we got to the truck. Nope. They got their second wind and was going strong. Note to self: Josiah will not be allowed to drink another Coke until he is 16! ;)

Phillipians 4:8 Finally, brethren, whatsoever things are true, whatsoever things are honest, whatsoever things are just, whatsoever things are pure, whatsoever things are lovely, whatsoever things are of good report; if there be any virtue, and if there be any praise, think on these things.
