Publix Shopping Trip

Spent: $22.10 (+$2.42 in tax) Saved: $64.62 or 75%
(2 Covergirl eye shadows are not pictured)

I bought $12.09 just in meat today! I tried to figure how much I saved on the meat by finding it on special price but I ended up ripping the labels. I do know that I saved over $5 on the Greenwise whole chicken (which I plan to put in the Rotisserie this afternoon). I am learning more and more on how to spot meat at a clearance price at Publix. My cashier saw the price on my ground turkey ($1.55) and stopped to show the bagger. lol I think she'll be making a trip to the meat department when she gets off of work. :)

Speaking of which both of my favorite cashiers were there today!
:) This totally makes me happy! :)

The cereal has a mail in rebate on them but it states only one per name/address so I will also be getting $4.19 back once I mail it in!

I love samples so I thought I'd show y'all the samples that came in the mail yesterday. I love the travel size items! Perfect for summer traveling.
I hope everyone else has had a wonderful shopping week. I think I will still hit up Walmart for a few things but I don't think I'll be doing the drug stores this week unless I am driving right by them.

Happy Shopping!

Family Time

I have been waiting and waiting and waiting for my bananas to ripen so I could make a banana bread. I was finally able to make it on Monday.
I just had to have a piece as soon as it came out of the oven. :)
My sister and her family came up Monday afternoon for a few hours. So I packed up Josiah and my banana bread and went and had a nice evening with them.

The kids played so well together and Becky and I had fun trying out Mom & Dad's new treadmill.
After a dinner of pizza, the banana bread was quickly consumed.
I am already planning on buying more bananas soon. :D
(I secretly know that the girls smelled it all the way in Sebring and decided then and there to make a trip to see us. hehehe I'm gonna make sure to always have bananas on hand now!)

Publix Shopping Trip

Spent: $9.68  Saved: $74.42 or 88%
Unfortunately $4 worth of coupons did not get scanned so my total is higher than I expected. I payed $3.55 in tax alone-- I wish there were free tax coupons. Ha! So if all my coupons were scanned properly and I didn't have to pay tax, my out of pocket expense would have been $2.13 or 97%!
This is all of my free items for the week. I was also supposed to get some Airwick stuff for free but they were out of stock. : (

Dear Publix, I am sorry I left my cart in the middle of the parking lot. But between my purse, the umbrella, my child, the wind and rain, the grocery bags... it was not going well. The lady laughing at me in the RV right across from my truck will testify to it I am sure.

CVS, Walgreens, & Walmart Shopping Trip

CVS
Spent: $3.51  Saved: $6.76 or 66%
Received $2.50 in ECB's
For whatever reason CVS was having issues with the shave cream coupons so I have to go back with my receipt and coupon next week and they are supposed to reimburse me. If anyone is interested they had newborn cvs brand diapers at the front marked down to $2 and some odd cents. Its the store on Cypress Gardens Blvd just a ways past 'the nice' Walmart.

****
Walgreens
Spent: $7.60   Saved: $7.66 or 50%
Received $8 in RR

***
Walmart
Spent: $8.69  Saved: $17.43 or 67%
I originally planned to buy something I hated (coffee) to give me overage to buy something I needed (fire ant killer) and only pay $.45, but I found some meat on clearance and I couldn't help myself. :)

I know I could have had better out of pocket spending but my brain was not in the mood for multiple transactions today. I kept my lists short and sweet this week.

Hope everyone has a wonderful day!

Weekly Shopping Trip

Spent: $19.14  Saved: $91.31 or 83%
(I always include what tax I had to pay in my totals.)
I feel so retarded because I forgot my Winn Dixie $5 off $30 at home too! Ugh!
There were 27 items this week that were completely free (some with a little overage) using coupons!
4 John Frieda products
10 Trident Vitality Gum
2 BeechNut Steemies
7 Beyond One Cat Food
4 Ritz Munchable Pretzel Rounds

Josiah and I are really excited about those Oreo Cakesters($.50ea)! I have never had one before and oh. my. they are SOO good! I love being able to try new things that I otherwise wouldn't buy.

{Dear Miss Buttons, I hope you will like your new cat food! Let me know when your owner wants me to bring it all to Church!}

Emelyn's Dedication Service

Yesterday, Larry and Becky dedicated Emelyn to the Lord.
Bro. Hankins read some Scripture then held Emelyn as he prayed for them.
He also presented a pink New Testament to Emelyn.
Right before Bro. Hankins preached he and his wife sang a song that they have been able to sing at all of the kids' dedication services. I loved the words of the song. It was about having a happy home, a place where the Lord would be at home.
Happy Nana!
