Gratituesday - Happy Anniversary to my Pastor!

This past Sunday, we celebrated Pastor Carter's 42nd anniversary at Landmark! Every year we celebrate in a big way and we call it Anniversary Sunday. Everyone goes all out! There were over 3,000 people on the property with several services proclaiming the love of Jesus.

Michael went with a dinosaur theme in our Jr. Church. All the balloons were given away at the end of the service. (Praise the Lord!)

I think Michael did a great job on balloons this year! :)

We had 285 3rd-5th graders- at least they are supposed to be in 3rd-5th. ;) We had nearly 20 workers helping us out! I do have to say we had the BEST group of WORKers! Everyone jumped in and did their part and just rolled with the punches.
At the invitation there were 55 who came back for salvation. The workers did an amazing job at splitting the kids up into small groups and giving a clear presentation of the gospel. I was given a few testimonies by some of the workers that the Lord was very evident in dealing with their group of kids.
Following the church service we all head to the field for all kinds of games. Since having kids I don't get to be a part of the work crew but I get to take my kids around and watch them enjoy themselves.

Jman loved the hay ride! He got on all by himself without giving me a second look. He is growing up too fast!
Next, he stood in line for the duck pond and won a tootsie roll.
Then he stood in line skipped several people in line at the pony rides. lol  I couldn't get in line with him since I had the stroller so every once in a while he would just skip people. Everyone was so gracious. His little four year old body just wanted to get on the horsey not stand in line!
 This is Michael's balloon line!
Josiah and Joanna were wiped out! This was J after church on Sunday night. Poor guy asked me if he could go to bed. :) (Let's get inside first, little man.)
I am so thankful for a pastor who has been faithful for so many years. We are truly blessed! And praise the Lord for the 297 souls that were saved across the property! I am so thankful to be a part of a church that reaches souls for Christ!

Join us for Gratituesday at Heavenly Homemakers!

My Little Chubby Cheeks...

... turns nine months old today!
She has grown so much over the last few weeks that A) She is now wearing 12m clothes and  B) My back hurts after carrying her.
The crazy little nut chews on everything.
This is what happens when big brother plays with her. ;)
 She loves to go places.
 Lego Shark attack!
She is such a people person. She will smile at a complete stranger and make their day so much brighter. I am all the time stopped by "grandparents" who just want to talk to Lady J. I get to hear lots of grand kid stories. :)
 Nap time at Legoland. :)
She had a big day today. We went to Story Time at the library, then the farmers market, and then to the park for a picnic and play time. She was worn out when we got home. I just couldn't resist snapping a photo of her and all her chubby little rolls.
We are doubly blessed! I am so thankful for the family God has given to me.
Happy 9 months, Joanna!

Party Time!

Josiah turned 4 years old on Monday! My little guy has grown up so much and I can hardly believe it has already been another year.
We had a very small birthday party for him with the Grandparents and Godparents after Church on Sunday.
He was so excited to have everyone there! He was even trying to invite people from church to his party. I'm glad no one extra showed up! :)

Josiah enjoyed opening all his presents. He kept saying things like "Awesome" and "That's just what I wanted".

As you can see everyone had fun!

Joanna even got to play with one of Jman's new toys.
Oh, and Daddy enjoyed playing with J's new lego set. ;)
I am so glad we kept his party small. We had so much fun together and we were able to relax and just enjoy the moment.

On the Verge of Insanity

I LOVE my kids... but Josiah was driving me NUTS today. All he could do was talk talk talk talk.

NON STOP.

I finally could take no more talking and took the kids on a walk after lunch.

He RAN half a mile.

No joke.

I know this because the trail has it marked.

And do you know what he did the entire time he ran?

He talked.

And talked.

And talked.

I think he has the energy of five people today.

Once we made it around we had time to play on the playground. Here we three are on the dinosaur thingy that rocks back and forth. (Which Josiah did all the rocking.)
 Joanna loved it.

And if you are thinking he had something sugary to eat, you are wrong. Raisin bran for breakfast and chili for lunch. Milk and water to drink. And my Dad wonders why I don't allow Jman to drink coke and have lots of sweets. :)

Now I have to mentally prepare myself for a dentist appointment in a little while. Eeek!! Here's hoping I don't encounter anyone overly chatty.
