My Lovelies

Good Bye, quarters! So long back ache from lugging loads to and from the truck! Adios, all day wash days! Hasta La Vista to all the yucky sheets with throw up stinking up my house because its three days until I can wash it.

None of you will be missed.

Sincerely,
Me!!!

Moving In

The outside of our new house. Except now the lawn is mowed and the broken storm door is no longer there :)
Josiah wanted me to take a picture of him with his toys in his new room. He seriously asked me to do it too!
We are excited to be in our new home!!!
We are very comfy sleeping in our new rooms!

This was the night before the big move. (Sorry the pictures aren't in the correct order but... I'm too exhausted to really care right now.) My parents invited us to Sonny's, Praise The Lord, I did not have to cook the day before the move. :)
My dad stealing Josiah's cowboy hat.
Josiah is trying to 'ride' his horsey which is actually a toy box.
All moved in!! The nation celebrated with us by lighting fireworks for us. :D
We were able to watch our town's fireworks display from the kitchen windows! I loved the fact that we could see them and the sound was muffled! The noise is the only thing I don't like about fireworks.
Josiah kept singing 'twinkle, twinkle little star'
I was glad when they finally stopped so we could collapse in bed!
It has been a whirlwind this month! We are mostly unpacked (the blessing of having lived somewhere small!) Our internet was connected yesterday and we are getting 2 very special things delivered tonight and I am so excited!!!!!!!!!!!!

Happy & Completely Worn Out,
Joy

Just Being Neighborly

Last Friday, the day we closed on the house, Michael came by the house to drop off some cleaning supplies with the permission of our realtor before we went and actually signed all the paperwork. During the 15 minutes that he was at the house this lawn guy shows up and asks if we were buying the place. Michael told him that he was fixing to go close on it. The guy hands him a card and says that he works for the bank by mowing the yard and that since it was being bought he was no longer responsible to mow it.

BUMMER!!!!

The yard seriously needed mowing! Since we've never been responsible for mowing a yard we did not yet have a mower. We were going to borrow a mower to get the yard cut until we got our own. At dinner tonight we were discussing when Michael would go pick up said mower.

Then no more than five minutes pass when our neighbor comes riding up in our yard on his mower. (He has a lawn business, so he has one of those mamma jamma lawn mowers... you know the kind that is just shy of being called a tractor.) Michael goes out to meet him (I met him the other day) and the guy explains that he just got the mower fixed and needs to test it out before he loads it on his trailer and takes it to work.

He also said something about our yard really needing to be mowed. :D Then he asked if he could mow our yard.

Michael told him that he was going to borrow a mower this week so it wasn't necessary but the guy told him that it would be too hard to use a push mower that it would get bogged down in the tall patches. He then said that we just moved in and have enough to worry about.

Not only did he mow our lawn, but he also used his weed eater and then his blower.

Oh, did I mention that he did it completely free of charge?!!!!!!!!

What a blessing that was to us! God is so good!

When we thanked him before we left the house (to go do 9 loads of laundry {UGH!}) he says to us... I'm just being neighborly.

Now I can let Josiah play out in the back yard and all we have to do is pull the weeds in all the flower beds and the yard will look so pretty! :)

So tonight I am super thankful for fresh cut grass and a neighbor who was neighborly.

Greetings from Eustis

I just wanted to post a quick update while I have a little bit of internet access. We are currently in Eustis at Victory Baptist Church for their vbs. Josiah and I was able to ride up with friends yesterday, that in itself is a major praise since I didn't have to drive!

The vbs is going well, there was a bunch of rain yesterday (all afternoon and evening) which cut down on the numbers but it still turned out to be a good night. They are doing some really cute crafts, last night was a picture frame. I totally wanted to jump in and make my own, it looked like so much fun. I hope to post a bunch of pictures in a couple of days.

Josiah is getting more and more independent. They were calling all the pre-k kids for their class and Josiah looked so forlornly at them so I asked if he wanted to go to his class. He didn't even answer me he just jumped right off the pew and ran to get in line. It made me feel better when he looked back at me as he walked out of the auditorium and gave me the most excited smile and a huge wave.

Today for lunch Michael is taking me to my favorite Italian restaurant here in Eustis!!! I am really looking forward to it!

I hope everyone has a great weekend!

The Great Migration

Monday morning we were extremely blessed to have some great helpers! a big thanks goes to Nathan and Dory Ogden, Connie Ogden, the Deubler family, James Morgan, Aaron Hester, and my wonderful brother Doug Hill. I am so thankful that they took time away from their honey-do lists and family activities to come help us. Another big thanks goes to Sheila Howard for keeping Josiah for us for most of the weekend.

I also want to thank those of you who couldn't be here but helped pray us through the day!

Because of all our wonderful helpers all our stuff was moved and put together by lunchtime! The house is pretty well put together but the garage is a mess and a half.

We won't have internet for a while and i haven't quite figured out this mobile blogging thing down so whenever I get somewhere with free wifi I'll be sure to upload some photos, and type coherent paragraphs :)

Have a blessed day, Joy

We Bought A House!

Praise the Lord! We closed Friday night and spent majority of Saturday washing walls, cleaning the carpet, and scrubbing the toilets. We were also able to get a few truck loads moved over. God is good!

Here are just a few pictures!
Master Bedroom
(Before I cleaned the carpet. It looks SO much better now!)
View from front door into the living room. My favorite part of the house is the french doors opening out to the porch.
