'Twas the Night Before Christmas

I wanted to share some pictures with you all from our Christmas. Since there are so many pictures I am breaking it up into a couple different posts as time allows for picture upload. (Our internet is SO SLOW with many people on vacation.)

Here is the night before Christmas as the kids were getting ready for bed.

 The final product
Christmas morning! Joanna just woke up and was trying to figure out what was going on.
Michael makes candy plates for us. The kids were filled up with all kinds of goodies.

I tried my hand at making homemade cinnamon rolls. WoW! They were SOOOO good! And these were actually rather easy to make. I tried to make it look like a tree but Josiah told me it did NOT look like a tree. :-P He was just being a Mr. Grumpy Gills.
We warmed up the leftovers today and they were still good. That recipe is definitely a keeper!

Next post- Opening gifts! :)

An Afternoon At Hollywood Studios

A very special lady in our church who happens to adore Josiah and spoils him constantly asked if she could take us to Hollywood Studios. She really wanted to show Josiah and Joanna the dancing lights. She works there so was able to get us all in for free.

Josiah was attached to her hand the whole night. It was so sweet to watch.

We saw the car show that they put on... AWESOME! That was SO COOL! I don't think I would ever tire of watching stunt cars.

The park was packed FULL of people! We were planning on seeing one show but 45 minutes before the show they announced that it was standing room only. Haha No thanks! We then had enough time to ride the Toy Story ride.

Josiah got to "meet" an army man after the ride. He was a bit in awe.
Then we headed to the dancing lights.... SPECTACULAR! It was quite an experience.

Joanna really loved the "snow" that was falling.

It was a nice afternoon out and about with my family. :)

M is for Messy Monkeys

There really isn't that much to share about school this week. We survived is about all I can say.

Josiah did do a fabulous job on one of his handwriting papers. After going through a slump of him refusing to do his best I think we are finally making headway.
The kids were blessed with a HUGE tub of books and puzzles this week. This morning Jman and Lady J spent some time looking through the ones I am keeping in the living room. Readers are leaders, right? And in my experience, messy. :)
Week 16 is finished.

I'm Glueless

I have a problem. I had a few minutes of time that I didn't think I'd have this afternoon. I decided I was going to work on Joanna's scrapbook. It has been a long process to get started on that book and I was going to seize the moment!

And then I couldn't find any glue. Dude, really? I use a special glue for my scrapbooks and apparently it never crossed my mind to check to make sure I had some.

So I organized the pictures and then re-organized them. Now that that is done I feel like my creative juices have been let down since I can't do anything else without glue. Ugh. So you guys are stuck with a blog post which is the next best thing to scrapbooking.

With not much to say... Well, let me rephrase that... With not much that anyone would like to know about, I figured I'll just post some pictures. I mean, I could tell you how I spent all morning cleaning. Or washing the dishes. Or searching through lint to find those legos. Or taking the trash out twice. But who really cares about that stuff ? :)

So for pictures that I didn't have to have glue to post!

Our SeaWorld Adventure

Because we have some of the most generous and loving family and friends Michael and I were able to take Josiah to SeaWorld today. The weather was really "just right". The sun was a bit bright but it wasn't overly hot.

 The Dolphin Show

The Pets Ahoy! show is one of Josiah's favorites.

Waiting to get on the Antarctica ride. Josiah did FABulous on this ride. He sat in front of us and didn't get scared at all!
Oh man! It was FREEEEEEEEEEzing in this room with the penguins.

 Shamu

My personal favorite show is always Clyde and Seamore. They did a special Christmas presentation and it was so funny! They also gave us free cookies and a drink. :)
After that show we left because I couldn't walk another step. I stayed in the handicap section and waited for Michael to pick me up. I people watched until that starting scaring me so I just played with my phone then. ha!

I am thankful for the day of fun with my guys. Now it is time to relax a bit. :)
